I am a devoted dental hygienist with a passion for providing excellent patient care. My goal is to introduce a welcoming and comfortable environment, where patients feel at ease discussing their concerns and aspirations regarding their dental health. As a hygienist, I motivate patients to improve their oral health through comprehensive exams, patient education, digital X-rays, and soft tissue management. I am dedicated to not only improving smiles but also enhancing my patients’ overall wellbeing.
My career in dentistry began as a dental assistant, a role I embraced for two years. This experience ignited my desire to further my education, prompting me to pursue and earn an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. Dr. Goolsby and our team strive to make each patient feel like a part of our family, offering a team-oriented approach in fulfilling all of our patients’ needs.
I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and raised in Charleston. I enjoy going to the beach, fishing, spending time with family, watching football, traveling, and hanging out with my cat Nico!

My name is Betty Anne, and I’m one of the hygienists here! I’m proud to be from Charleston. I am a West Ashley High School grad! I then went to and graduated from Florence‑Darlington Technical College with an Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.
As someone who values both comfort and compassion, I specialize in preventive care, patient education, and building trusting relationships. Every smile is unique, and I take the time to tailor oral hygiene plans that meet individual needs and goals to support a healthy smile.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and looking forward to supporting him through his senior year at the Citadel. I love being outdoors—whether I’m boating, fishing, hunting, or just soaking up sunshine, I’m happiest outside. And in my downtime, I get creative making custom stickers.

Registered Dental Hygienist
I love helping my patients have a healthy mouth and smile. When I clean their teeth, I try to be gentle and always attentive to their comfort. As a hygienist, I educate patients on oral health, offer scaling and root planing, and floss and polish teeth.
I started working the dental field in 1982 as an assistant and have an AS in Dental Assisting, as well as a BS from the Medical University of South Carolina. In 2013, I joined the Goolsby Family Dentistry team and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Goolsby is an excellent, compassionate dentist and he and the team are driven to provide the best care to our patients.
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, writing stories, bike riding and running, and most of all, time with my husband, Bob. We’ve “adopted” a Citadel Cadet; he lives with us on the weekend. I’m active in my church, where I facilitate a Women’s Bible Study, and am a member of my Church Council. I volunteer for Tri-County Family Ministries and Historical and Preservation Historical Tours, too.

I have been in the dental field since 1986, cultivating a passion for patient care and team collaboration that has only deepened over the years. With an AB degree and a wealth of knowledge gained through numerous continuing education courses in both dentistry and office management, I have dedicated my career to enhancing the dental experience for both patients and staff alike. It has been my privilege to be a part of this wonderful dental team for 38 years and counting, where I strive each day to help patients achieve optimal dental health through creative finance solutions and an emphasis on affordability.
Throughout my career, my core mission has remained constant: to create positive and enjoyable working relationships while ensuring that we deliver excellent patient care. I believe that a supportive and fun workplace leads to better outcomes for our patients and successful practice overall. I consider it a great privilege to be a member of the dental team and to provide administrative support as needed, helping our office to run smoothly and efficiently.
On a personal note, God and my family are my foundation. My husband and I have shared a wonderful marriage since 1981, and together we have been blessed with a son and a daughter, along with a few beloved four-legged kids who add joy and warmth to our home. I also enjoy indulging in a few hobbies, which include singing (particularly harmonizing), playing the piano, and getting lost in a good book or a heartwarming Hallmark movie. I am also actively involved with LifeGate Church, where I find fulfillment through community service and engagement.
As I continue this journey, I remain committed to our dental team and look forward to a few more years of serving our community and contributing to the field of dentistry with passion and dedication.

Hello! I’m thrilled to share a bit about myself and my journey. Originally from the charming city of Charleston, South Carolina, I graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2022 with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice, complemented by a minor in Leadership. My academic background has instilled in me a profound appreciation for understanding people, a skill I find invaluable in my current profession.
A couple of years ago, I discovered my passion for dentistry, which has been an exciting and fulfilling adventure. I love working in this field because it allows me to connect with people on a personal level. Building a strong rapport with my patients is at the heart of what I do. I believe that each patient deserves to feel welcomed and cared for, which is why I strive to greet everyone with a warm smile and an open heart. My goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and valued, and I work diligently to ensure that I approach every task with excellence and attention to detail.
Outside of my professional life, I’m happily married to my sweet husband, Caleb. Together, we share our home with our adorable puppy, Biscuit, who brings endless joy and laughter into our lives. In my free time, I enjoy baking and cooking. I also prioritize staying active, whether it's going for walks on the beach or exploring new outdoor activities.

Office Manager
I am a Charleston native. I grew up here and have always loved this city. I have watched it grow and change so much in my lifetime! While many of our patients are also Charleston natives, many have come from places all over the world and we are glad they are here! I understand why they come; we are a beautiful city with a rich history. Plus, we have beaches and quite nice weather for most of the year!
I graduated from Presbyterian College with a degree in Business Administration, which prepared me for my role here as Office Manager. I also have a background in software support and training, which taught me customer service, how to troubleshoot problems and how to think outside the box. I have worked in the banking industry, as well as for the IT department at The Citadel.
I have been blessed with two daughters. Our oldest is a student at Clemson. We are Clemson fans, so we love having her there! Our youngest is working hard in high school. We also have a Springerdoodle who keeps us on our toes!
I am excited to officially be a member of the Goolsby Dental team! We have a great staff who truly cares about our patients and each other. I am happy to be here to help lead our team in delivering quality dental care to our patients. My goal as office manager is to help Goolsby Dental continue to stay current with technology that will allow us to offer our patients the best options available to maintain the health of their teeth.
